The concept is not new but again, Singapore demonstrates it’s putting money where it’s mouth is.
An established incubator targeted at startups with a social impact, is partnering with DBS (that’s DBSÂ bank) Foundation to open applications for its next run, which is aimed at addressing challenges faced by the vulnerable elderly in Singapore.
Named UNAGING, the incubation programme, supported by Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) Labs, will support up to 10 concept-to-prototype stage social impact startups with S$10,000 funding up front, co-working space, and mentorship by successful entrepreneurs. IDA Labs provide physical lab spaces for individuals, companies, and government agencies to collaborate.
Applications can be made at UNFRAMED’s website and will close on January 17, 2016.
