Pharmacy chain targets 65+ consumers with loyalty programme

It’s a lucrative demographic for Rite Aid, given the number of prescriptions seniors fill and the volume of monthly nonprescription purchases they make.

This article from AdAge claims Rite Aid’s pharmacy business is 70% of revenue — and people filling prescriptions are predominantly elderly. The company said of seniors “[Seniors] are very valuable. Once you acquire them, they’re very sticky, hard to move and very profitable.”

Now all they need to do is to fix their website and retail experience!
