Pharmacy chain targets 65+ consumers with loyalty programme

It’s a lucrative demographic for Rite Aid, given the number of prescriptions seniors fill and the volume of monthly nonprescription purchases they make.

This article from AdAge claims Rite Aid’s¬†pharmacy business is 70% of revenue — and people filling prescriptions are predominantly elderly. The company said of seniors “[Seniors] are very valuable. Once you acquire them, they’re very sticky, hard to move and very profitable.”

Now all they need to do is to fix their website and retail experience!
