The insurer has developed seven signposts of person-centred care to help people when touring aged care homes.
BUPA created the app in conjunction with the Alzheimer’s Australia Consumer Dementia Research Network, the 7 Signposts of person-centred care support new customers to view aged care environments and the attitudes of staff from the residents’ perspective.
The signposts evaluated in the app and outlined in this brochure are:

- INTERACTIONS BETWEEN RESIDENTS, FAMILIES AND STAFF

- THE CARE HOME AS A COMMUNITY
