Background noise really is a problem as you become older. The Raku Raku phone from Fujitsu incorporated this feature but they positioned it as a benefit for older people. But in true age-friendly style, Apple promotes this feature of iPhone 5 as a benefit for all.

I couldn’t agree more when Dick says “Apple is instinctively age-friendly. Nobody sat down and said “let’s be age-friendly” but when you think about your customers – I mean really think about your customers and what makes life difficult for them – you get it right. So simple but so rare to find”.
