Telco launches iPhone CSR intiative for ageing Singaporeans

SingTel (Singapore) has launched Project Silverline to enhance the lives of seniors through digital communications and multimedia technology.

From now until March next year, seniors under the care of Lions Befrienders and Willing Hearts communities will receive iPhones donated by SingTel customers, with SingTel sponsoring the talk time and data usage for one year.

The iPhones will be installed with five apps to help seniors to take care of their health, discover new experiences every day, and stay connected with caregivers and loved ones.

The apps are available with English and Mandarin language options.

What a lovely initiative. (Hope the apps are age-friendly. Seem a little child-like to me)

It will be interesting to learn how the ‘seniors’ respond to the challenge.

Good one SingTel.
