Economist Survey on Liveable Cities. Free Report Download

Tempting to gloss over this as just another study on liveable cities (free download here). However, the sample reveals that 40% of respondents re 45+ including 9% over 60, so it’s worth a look. Unfortunately, the overall sample is too small to try to analyze by the older market but I think the interesting points are:

  • An overwhelming 59% of respondents identifies “Public transport, road links and parking” as; “the primary thing you would imporove/change to make life less stressful/and or improve quality of life there”.
  • Also interesting was the response to the question “If you had a choice, in which environment would you prefer to live at the following stages of your life?” where 57% of respondents opted for “rural or smaller town/village”
